In addition to serving as the Managing Broker of our McLean office, David is also Executive Vice President of our company. Before joining McEnearney Associates in 1996, David was the owner and Principal Broker of his own real estate company for 12 years. A recognized real estate industry leader, David was President of the Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS® (NVAR) in 1995 and was named REALTOR® of The Year for NVAR in 1998. David was a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Regional Information System (MRIS), the largest Multiple Listing System in the United States, and served as that organization's 1996-1997 President.

Activities and Affiliations

David has served as Chairman of NVAR's Professional Standards Committee and as an RPAC Trustee. He is on the Board of Directors of MRIS, currently serving as Secretary, and is also on their Finance and Strategic Planning Committees. He is also a member of the Virginia Association of REALTORS® Presidential Advisory Group on Growth. He was also a member of VAR's Board of Directors from 1989 through 1996. David has been an active member of the Business In Education Partnership Council, a public/private partnership that supports the public school system of Falls Church City, Virginia, serving as BIE's President in 1996. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance, a business/citizen group advocating funding and construction of long neglected major transportation projects.

David and his wife served as fundraising co-chairs for a new equestrian Center for the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.

David enjoys free time with his wife Margaret-Mary and their four children, Jeff, Sarah, Andrew and Amy. He particularly enjoys tennis, but enjoyed it more when he could still be competitive with his children! That is, regrettably, no longer the case.
